"Regarding the customer service, it was good everywhere except for the food court. My husband dealt with someone with horrendous customer service and definately should not be working for Disney. She got the order wrong twice, was very rude to my husband because he pointed that out, it took much longer than it should have and she continued to be snippy. You would think she would be more accommodating considering he had a cranky hungry 3 year old with him. Other than that we had a nice time."

"I think the hotel was nice. My biggest complaint was you offer a spa, it was not working, the service from the food court was not friendly, they had bad attitutdes with the patrons, slow service and they often brought out their frustrations through their service with the patrons. I feel you need to improve on customer service. In addition we had no power because you had service and construction going on at the hotel. You could have at least for the inconvenience offered a free breakfeast or discounted some of the activities. Your management skills need to be worked on as far as getting the customers to return. In addition, my sheets were not changed at all and we were there for five (5) days. I felt we should have had fresh sheets after two days, because we have small children."

"The resort was very beautiful with an awesome pool; however, it was so large that it was quite exhausting just to get to Old Port Royale where the pool and food court were. Also, we got very tired of the food selection and wish we had more access to different dining options. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay."

"The beds could've been bigger, we had 2 double beds for the 4 of us and the 2 adults (myself and my wife) found the double bed we shared much too small. We requested 2 queen size beds initially and were told they did not have that size available."

"Great setting, lots to do if you're taking a day or two off from going to the parks, very clean and well-maintained, service was quick and friendly. Not a bad price for this level of service, convenience to the parks."

Raymond from Boca Raton, FL US stayed on May 01, 2005

"The hotel is quite spread out and really requires an auto to get to any place other than Disney facilities and the location was a bit of a problem to find since most maps are fairly vague. Overall it is typical Disney quality which is to say top notch but for the money I wouldn't choose this one again unless I were staying 4 days or more. For one day it just wasn't worth the price. This resort is probably good for families with children that will be staying for 4 days or more because of the nice pools and lake."

"We have stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort in the past. It is our hotel of choice in the Disney Area. We really like the location, rooms, resort and the price. The service is excellent and you have a great crew working the Banana Cabana Pool Bar. We know that a lot of repeat customers to the Caribbean Beach are owed to two friendly and caring bartenders, Joanne and Kathy. They remember us year after year, along with all the other repeat customers that we meet when we visit the Caribbean Beach. It is nice to feel welcomed at your resort."

Jim from Central City, KY US stayed on April 05, 2005

"I spent one half of our second day trying to get my reservations and my hopper passes straight. I did absolutely nothing to cause the situation, as it was due to a disgruntled employee named Ralph that did not do his job correctly. I initially spent 1 hour trying to get him to properly check me in to the second portion of my stay, as I had two separate reservations, then after getting inside the gates at Epcot, we noticed that he had given us the wrong cards and had not extended my stay at all, just duplicated the initial stay. When I left Epcot with my family in tow, and went back to the hotel, it was 1 pm before the young man at the counter finally got it straight. Due to the weather and this mistake, my kids only got one and a half days worth of disney parks out of the whole stay. The young man apologized many times for the mistakes noting that none of it was my fault, and explained that Disney would make things right. I went into the office on Thursday to beg to extend our stay into Friday night so my family could have another day at the parks and they simply told me no. They couldn't do anything. Basically it was "too bad, so sad" but it is your problem. I will NEVER stay in the park again. My daughter is 6 years old and has had 9 Disney vacations. It is not like we were not frequent flyers, and had always wanted to stay inside the park, but was never able to do that. We worked very hard to work this out, and was comletely disappointed with the outcome. Holiday Inn, here we come!!!DISNEY You suck!!!"

"I had only luke warm showers even after complaining each of the three days. Holes in the sheets the first night. Dripping bath plumbing the second, and a hard bed every night. No internet connection or business support for my needs while the family played. Got 50% back on credit from the first two nights.. Not even worth the effort for the third. Won't be back. The only advantage to be on the Disney property for us was the ability to go to an hour early to a park we had not intended to attend anyway. Does not offset the unpleasant stay."

"We really enjoy staying at this resort because of the atmosphere. When staying outside of Disney, although it is still fun, you just don't get the overall excitement of being at a Disney resort. The island themes, pools and food court are wonderful when you are not at one of the parks. Being able to utilize the bus transportation system to all of the parks is fantastic - who needs a car when you can take the bus!"

"Upon arrival I was somewhat disappointed since I thought we were going to be staying at a high rise style hotel. However, we couldn't have been happier with how things worked out. It was great being on ground level - just out the door & a quick walk to the lake & pool area. Center Town was very convenient also with the shopping & restaurant. This was our first time at Disney & if we do it again we will definitely stay at a Disney resort. It was very easy to get around with the bus system. Thanks for a great time!"

Marianne from Lynchburg, VA US stayed on January 11, 2005

"We had problems when we first checked in, housekeeping had not locked the adjoining door and the guests from the next room used our shower and facilities and left trash in the room prior to us checking in, they did switch our room to another room but no one offered to help with luggage or to compensate us for our trouble in any way, the girl at the desk seemed uninterested in the fact that my husband had trekked all the luggage to the room and then had to trek it back to the car and then to the new room, when we first checked in no one advised us about assistance with our luggage nor did they inform us about the specials we receive as hotel guests such as early opening and late closing of the parks. The hotel grounds were beautiful, however we could not enjoy many of the more private romantic areas because they were closed/gated at 5pm. The bus service in the evening servicing downtown disney area was very troublesome, we had to wait anywhere from 30-45 minutes for a bus and on the first night when a bus would come it was full to capacity and we would have to wait for another bus, since all the parks were closing around 7pm, most people in the evening would be heading to downtown disney however the buses servicing this area were minimal but we saw plenty going to the parks??? I did not feel that we were treated the way we had heard you are treated at a Disney resort, not sure if it was because we were only there for a few days but I was disappointed in this. We did not even know what our hopper tickets included and probably missed out on a lot of fun things we could have taken advantage of. I am not sure that I would spend the money again to stay within the resort area as again we did not feel that the price of the room was worth it."

"Overall the room was clean. However, the carpet needed to be cleaned. There were areas on the carpet that were sticky, like a soda had been spilt and not cleaned very well. There were no spots, only areas that were sticky, something a good rug shampoo would take care of."

"Most motels above the economy level do not impose charges for LOCAL phone calls. Also most motels of comparable class provide free "high speed internet access" either wireless or network ports in the room. I also find it unusual that room charges are billed to a credit card " first day in advance" and "total stay on arivial" instead of the customary "day by day" or "total upon departure"."

"The rooms were to far from the Hotel lobby. Had to take a hotel shuttle to the lobby to catch a cab. Phones line busy for up to a half hour for the front desk. Took 45 minutes from them to take us and our luggage to our room (to far to walk ourselves). Terrible food options in the hotel. Difficult to get anywhere else because we couldn't catch a cab and we had to take a shuttle to Magic Kingdom and then a shuttle to another hotel with a good restaurant. It took us a hour and a half to get to the Yacht club which is probably 5 miles away."

"After a long day my children and I came back to our room to find our keys didn't work anymore. I called the main building and it took them thirty minutes to bring us new keys. Mind you we had to sit outside of our room until they came. I was not very happy. They told me it was because they were used to much or the cell phone. I didn't do either."

"We found it unbelievable that we had to "rent" a small refrigerator for the room. We had pre-ordered it but we still had to call the front desk 2 times before it was finally delivered;it was delivered, late (after 8PM), and we still had to pay the full day rate..only 10.00, but when you are already paying 160.00 for the room, it is stupid. And what about those guests who need refrigeration for medications and/or baby formula? Also, the rooms should be better sound proofed, we had a family next door that had a huge, screaming, foul mouthed fight every night and we felt we were right in the room with them. The TV in the room is 19 inch....we did not know they even made them that size any more, come on Disney, spring for at least a 25 inch TV. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay, and we will go back again in a year, but not necessarily to the same resort. We actually plan on getting a letter of to Disney with these same thoughts, not that they will listen, but a little constructive critisim from a 'friend' is never a bad thing. I am sure we will book with you again, next year, until them..Hi Ho, Hi Ho , it is off to work we go........! Thank you!"

"You might consider doubling the number of buses since this is the only transportation and there are too many stops within the hotel grounds. Maybe divide the stops between the north and south ends for instance so that it doesn't take 20 minutes before leaving the hotel for our final destination. Otherwise, the hotel was a great bang for our buck and would stay there again provided you fixed busing. Also, the restaurant Shutters could use a little more Carribean food flair."

"We enjoyed the beach, surrey bikes, and the main pool with the water slide, but the coffee was awful!! Disney needs to change from Nescafe!!! We went over to the Kona Cafe twice just to get a decent breakfast and morning coffee. Also, the food is mediocre, with way too much unhealthy, high fat fast food! In addition, the bill was unreadable and I will definitely be calling to try to figure out the charges. We were quoted a different rate by your unofficial Disney site... Overall, we loved Disney, but I'm not sure we will return to the Caribbean Beach Resort."

"The only thing that was a problem was that I had asked for a crib when i made my reservation for the room and did not get it. "I could not believe that we had to walk halfway around the body of water to find the heated pool and the hot tub. When we finally arrived (exhaused from lugging an infant and all necessary equipment)we realized that we should have driven over. We did not know that only one pool was heated and that there was only one hot tub. When we did get there and had the baby settled and feeling back in our arms from carrying him as we didn't bring the stroller (again not knowing that we needed hiking shoes) we could not get into the hot tub as it was full past the capacity of 5 persons. How difficult is it to get into the hot tub during the busy season?? The room was clean, the people friendly, but other than that, I was not impressed and will not stay at this hotel again. I would try another Disney hotel, but not a repeat visit to the Carribean Beach Resort. Maybe one of the more inexpensive hotels will offer what this one was supposed to. Sincerely, Susan J. Keefe"

"I was fairly concerned when a gentleman passed out in the "Grab 'N Go" section of the food court at the Caribbean Beach Resort, and the woman working there did not know what she should do. I know she was relatively new to her job, but I think Disney should train its employees, first and foremost, in what to do in the case of any emergency (I'd imagine there should be one central number to call for these emergencies). Eventually, someone got a more experienced employee to call for help, and the man was given medical attention. However, that took several minutes with many customers scrambling to figure out how to get the man some help."
