"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The quality of the food in the cafe next to the indoor videogames needs improvement. Also, the quality of the food in the round restaurant next to the water (can't recall the name) needs an uptick, as well. The service and setting were wonderful. Thanks for asking."

"I would have liked the option of selecting the location of our room. We ended up near the elevator on the first floor-too much activity and noise. Because we have older kids, it was not necessary to be on the ground floor. I booked about 5 months in advance of our trip and we should have had a choice. Also, there was a urine smell in the room, I think from the mattresses."

"We were very annoyed at checkout. We bought a 7 day park hopper lifetime ticket. My daughter lost hers the night before we were to checkout (still had 4 days and 4 plus left on it). We went down to the concierge to see if we could replace the lost pass. He said "no problem", but then realized it was 11:05 on our checkout day. The "system" could not replace our ticket because we "officially" checked out at 11:00. It's really frustating to know that if we had been at the concierge desk at 10:55 am we would have easily had our ticket replaced. Because of 10 minutes I'm out the value of that remaining ticket.....very frustating. Especially given all the other money we spent at your park (probably in excess of $3,500). Eric Bessette"

"THE ROOM WAS VERY MUSTY SMELLING. IT WAS RIGHT AFTER THE HURRICANE JEANNE AND I UNDERSTAND THE ROOMS ON THE LAGOON SIDE GOT WET"

"We booked a waterview and were told upon arrival that we had been "upgraded to a suite" - wasn't true and didn't appreciate the bait and switch tactic. We will be sure to view the specifics of the room next time we book and to insist that we be given the room we booked ahead of time."

"The service in Citricios was not very good at all on Saturday evening. When we first arrived we asked for a window table. We were left in suspense for 2 minutes while the hostess 'figured out' if we could have one of the many empty window tables. The waiter was very grumpy, and it appeared that everything we asked for was a chore for him to do. I eventually said to him that his attitude was unacceptable, and he smartened up a little for the last 20 minutes or so. It was frustrating that all bars in the hotel were closed by 11.00am. When we asked the staff at Citricios to purchase a bottle of champagne to take back to our room at 10.45pm, we got the response 'sorry but I have cashed out" I reminded them that 'cash out' time should be 11.00pm, and politely suggested that they find someone that had not "cashed out". That took 10 minutes! When they eventually found someone, the champagne that we had requested was out of stock! Great night...thanks Citricios! (Considering this was the first night in 3 years that we have had a baby-sitter availbe, I was just a little dissappointed) This is the single reason why I will never go back to the Grand Floridian. We have been to Disney 11 times before, and this was the completely out of character."

"I would not return. I did not feel that there was value in this location. WE paid top dollar, but felt like we were staying at a very "ordinary" hotel. The pool areas were nice, but everything else was nice, but not special"

"Lack of available restaurants at the hotel-the present ones are full all the time and unless you book several days previously you have no choice apart from the self service cafeteria-not what you expect at a 5* hotel. Also the service at the front desk can be unhelpful-for instance when wanting to book golf at Disney the assistant pointed to the phone and said ring yourself. We felt that although you are paying 5* prices you are getting 3* service"

"tried to get late lunch at cafe and had to settle for game room atmosphere...at $450/day (and we had 2 rooms) that was not the way we wanted to dine. Cafe or other comfortable dining option should be available, especially since our rooms were not ready until after 3pm"

"I said "enjoyed my stay", instead of "loved it" because the rooms were noisy. The plumbing (toilet and shower) noise from neighboring rooms was very loud. The rooms are a nice size and the turndown service each night is a nice touch. It was wonderful to come back to the hotel from a long day at the parks to a clean and refreshed room. The monorail/ferry ride to Magic Kingdom and Epcot are extremely convenient and is worth staying at the Grand Floridian for that reason alone. The front desk service is outstanding. They spend as much time with you as necessary to accommodate your room requests. The 24 hour cafe on the property came in handy for a light early morning or late night snack. The cafe area oversees a lake and Snow White's Castle is in the distance. You can see fireworks from this area. The individual speedboat rides, pool areas (there are 2 - one with a makeshift beach area with sand) and upscale spa (I had a facial and 80 min, massage) is definitely a nice diversion to park hopping during a 5+ day stay. Hope this helps. You may use my first name, but please use Nancy from Long Island...."
