"I really enjoyed the experience. It was my first visit to Disney and just too much fun. We're hoping to make another trip next April with more of the family."

"Port Orleans is beautiful with appearance and cleaningless. The lay-out and location of the rooms were very FAR from the lobby and restaurants....I requested a close room to the restaurants and lobby because of a bad knee. We were put in room 8802 which is very far. I called the front desk and requested again for a closer room but was told that was the best they could do for us. I was very dissappointed with your hotel's front desk, they were unfriendly and acted as if they were doing me a favor. Prior to coming to Port Orleans we stayed 4 days at Pop Century (a value resort)and had much better service from that hotel. We paid a LOT LESS for our room, and were treated better. The help at PORT ORLEANS were unfriendly and snobby. The bartender at the outside bar was rude. After ordering a drink he pointed out to me that I did not give him a TIP! I could not believe his rudeness. We spoke to other guests at poolside which felt the same way. Many complains of the lack of service and rudeness of the help. The maids are BEST HELP you have at the your hotel. We had excellent service from them. I will not recommend my friends to stay at PORT ORLEANS.I should of listened to my friends when they warned me not to stayed at your hotel.....I hope you use these comments to improove your service and train your personel to treat the guests better. We spent a lot of hard earned money and I was dissapointed. This was our first trip to Disney World.....Thank goodness we had a great stay at POP CENTURY."

"Most things about the hotel were terrific except the service we received from a person at the Concierge desk. She was dismissive, gave us the wrong information and did not apologise for a mistake that was pointed out to her at the time by another operator. However, when we complained to the Manager of the Concierge area, we had a very professional and helpful response. The breakfast was disappointing and chaotic with little help or direction from staff."

"My girlfriend and I spent one night in your hotel 4/17. The staff at your front desk could not have been more helpful. Around midnight we spoke to them about printing broading passes for spirt air for an Eticket. they were so helpful. I can only remeber the one girls name, karen, they were both blonde, but both girls deserve a pat on the back for all of the outstanding customer service!!"

"Communication could have been better. Guest services didn't tell me that I had to have my room key changed to include my park pass, so I had to change the key. When I made the reservation for Hoop De Doo, I prepaid. The hotel didn't have that on my card either. Then the women at the desk gave me a hard time because I came to her for the adjustment on my card at 8:45pm and she said I had to be at Hoop De Doo a half hour earlier than the show (9:00) if I wanted to get in. Told me to have the reservation checked over there. Rushed to the show, was there by 9:00 and had to stand outside until the doors opened at 9:30. People over there said getting there early was ridiculous. That's one example, but there were more. Very frustrating."

"Your computer systems were down when I arrived at 11:30pm and the clerk had problems finding my reservation. She advised that your computer systems have to be taken down every night??? When my reservation was finally found, the poor clerk had to use a childs crayon to make an impression of my credit card on a piece of paper so it could be entered when the computers were available. Per your hapless clerk, there is no high speed Internet access available anywhere on the property. Disney's telco charges are insanely out of line with actual costs. The amounts that you charge for telephone calls are obcene. You should be ashamed for *stealing* money from your guests. I had a reservation with Disney for several nights at almost $200 dollars a night. I checked out the morning after I arrived. I drove three minutes to a Marriott Courtyard and paid $120 per night for a two room suite w/free wireless high-speed Internet. The rooms were pleasant, my bed was turned down each evening, and iced down bottled water was delivered to my room each day. Disney could learn a thing or two..."

"Found the counter food service to be very slow, and limited in choices. Room was clean with the exception of the corners- very dusty- trouble for the asmatic in the family."

"The hotel itself wasn't bad at all but what really destroyed our good spirits (and part of our vacation) was the bad quality of the beds. Myself as well as my wife are healthy young people in our thirties and we don't have any health issues. We both got a really bad pain in our lower back after sleeping on these terrible beds. I think it's really time that Mickey spends some money on purchasing some new matresses."

"They put is in a Handicap room which was kind of weird - we did not have handicap needs, and weren't crazy about the shower set up, and it seemed like it was for old people. We are real Disney fans, and have stayed at Coronado Springs, Caribbean Beach, Wilderness Lodge, and others and this was our LEAST favorite."

"Yes. The bus transportation was limited for MGM. When we finally got on the bus the bus driver had everyone squished like sardines. There were many small children that had to stand for the ride. It was extremely uncomfortable and not safe. There should be more buses to accomodate the guests."

"This is a great place to stay. You get the flavor of New Orleans culture without it being intrusive. I really enjoyed spacious surrondings. I left my headlights on my rent car on one night and security was right on top of it. It saved me the grief of having to fight this problem the next morning when I had important meetings to go to. Thanks."

"Our only problem was one night I got locked out of the room, as the management had changed the coding of the electronic keys. The rooms at Riverside Disney are spread out over a large area (10 min walk to guest services area). I had to look for another resident who was at home and awake, call guest services and then wait another 15-20 minutes for someone to come and let me in my room. But overall a good value for Disney property."

"We loved it at Port Orleans Riverside, and will definately return. My family loved the themed pool with the waterfalls and waterslide. The property was very nice with blooming azeleas, on a beautiful landscape. We loved taking the steamboat to downtown Disney, and the busses to the theme parks. The eatery had various choices for all meals, with some of the best spare ribs we've ever had."

Renee from Windsor, ON CA stayed on February 20, 2004

"My husband and I have been to Disneyworld a few times, but this was the first time we stayed in a Disney Resort. We'll only stay in a Disney resort from now on. It may cost a bit more than staying outside the park, but worth every penny. The park bus system is fabulous. The ease of travelling between parks via the bus is great. We also loved travelling to Pleasure Island at night on the boat. Port Orleans Riverside allowed us to do both. This hotel was beautiful. The grounds are a joy to walk in. Although our room was in the aligator bayou section it was a short walk to the main restaurant, which has a great selection of food and the bus stop closest to our accomodations (North bus stop) was first for pick up so we always got a seat on the bus. Our maid also left us little creatures made from the washcloths - a nice touch! Only problem we had was that we left a few items of clothes behind in the dresser - hope they went to a good home!"

"It was a great vacation and we enjoyed the stay at P.O. Riverside. The staff was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed being greeted with a smile by every employee. It was so nice to jump into a heated pool on the chilly nights. The kids had great fun in the pool and the arcade. We had a great time in Boatwright's being entertained by Bob Jackson. He is a talented entertainer who brings everyone together for an evening of fun. (He is a little crazy - I guess that is why we liked him so much.) Whatever you are paying him it isn't enough - give that man a raise. He is well worth it!! The room was okay. It was cleaned nicely every day. It was expensive for the room size and the bathroom had loose tiles in the shower area. It was also leaking from underneath onto the carpet in the sink area. It was not fun stepping on a wet carpet. This is out second visit there and we always have a nice stay. Thank you. Don and Carla Butler"

Anonymous guest from Washington, DC US stayed on December 28, 2003

"We had a poorly located room at first and were not happy--even though there seemed to be plenty of rooms and we asked the person who checked us in to give us a nice room. After the first night, we requested a nicer room and stayed right on the river. We liked this room--it had a great view. We also liked that we could take a boat and a bus to attractions. Nice ambiance. I would also add that it was not that easy to get to either room from the parking lot. We also felt that little things were being nickeled and dimed--like having to pay for a refrigerator. The food seemed just okay, and the prices for the food were high."

Anonymous guest from Hialeah, FL US stayed on December 14, 2003

"I do think that the rates are very high compared to the service we got in return at the hotel, for one thing when we checked out it was raining and there was no help for us and we were told it was a walk in hotel. It was clear that I saw covered golf carts that were suited to pick up guests under these conditions, but knowone was there to do it and I think that the Disney corporation will be made aware of this in order to correct it."

"We have stayed periodically at PO Resort (as long ago as when it was Dixie Landings) and have always enjoyed our stay. The only complaint I have is our bed was somewhat uncomfortable (hard), but we spent little time sleeping -- we were in the parks most of the time! All in all, a great experience and we will be back again soon!"
